STI index breaking record highs
Singapore shares close up 1.6% at another record high. The Straits Times Index closed up 61.32 points at 3,875.77, beating the previous all-time peak of 3,865.75 reached on Tuesday. Volume totalled 2.81 billion shares valued at $2.76 billion (US$1.89 billion).
Naturally, STI ETF 100 is at hitting new highs, closing today at $39.30.......*sigh*...... had sold my ETFs during the sub-prime crisis. Otherwise, I will have made much more by now.
At the rate global markets are recovering since the sub-prime loan crisis, I am cautious about getting back into the market now. Especially so since market analysts are still unsure whether institution investors had really put the sub-prime concerns behind them. Shall wait and see for a few more weeks......
